Goodbye 2025

2025 is done at last: What Hope for 2026?

Reverend Larry Wright, Religious Affairs Advisor to the Next Century Foundation, shares this reflection for 2026:

The text from Ecclesiastes chapter 3 is well known as the, “For everything there is a time. A time to be born and a time to die, etc.” But the verses following it are less well known….

“God has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God.”

Have a blessed New Year and may goodness, beauty and love – in all its forms – be always alongside you in 2026.

William Morris, NCF Secretary General, writes:

Was Donald Trump on your naughty or nice list as we say goodbye to 2025? We don´t know about you but we welcome 2026. It has to be better than 2025. The New Year brings a new beginning and a chance for peace on Earth if we resolve to help bring it about.
