Best available reference point: UAE state media (WAM) reported 74 trucks / 903 tonnes delivered under “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3” for the week of ~24–30 August 2026 — close to, but not exactly matching, this reporting week. Self-reported, not independently verified.
No comparable weekly figure was found for Jordan, Egypt, or Qatar.
Reminder: Jordan’s aid via JHCO already sits inside Group 2 — do not double-count. UAE/Egypt/Qatar remain probably (not confirmedly) separate from Group 2.
A Note on COGAT (Israeli Government Data)
Unchanged finding: gaza-aid-data.gov.il’s date-range search still returns no results for any 2026 period (NCF’s own direct testing). The most recent dated COGAT report located still covers only through 7 June 2026.
Caveats
- No figure here should be summed into a single “total trucks this week” — the three groups are non-reconcilable.
- Group 1 and Group 3 figures are not concurrent with the reporting week.
- Group 3 is self-reported, unverified.
- COGAT remains unusable as a current source.
Key Developments: 29 August–4 September
31 August: Israel air strikes kill at least five people in Gaza City, part of a pattern of near-daily strikes despite the US-brokered ceasefire.
1 September: Israel captures Muein al-Arabid, head of Hamas’s internal security apparatus, in Gaza.
2 September: Netanyahu visits Israel military positions inside Gaza and declares troops “are not retreating,” asserting continued Israel control over the areas it currently holds.
3 September: National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir unveils “Disengagement 710,” a plan for the “voluntary emigration” of Gaza’s 1.86 million Palestinians; separately, Defense Minister Israel Katz says the wider Gaza emigration plan was “frozen” by President Trump, not withdrawn.
5 September: The Freedom Flotilla Coalition announces a new international mission under way, with vessels stopping at European ports ahead of an attempt to reach Gaza in October, “to challenge Israel’s illegal and deadly blockade.”
Gaza Governance
Transitional Administration:
The National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG) is designated as the Palestinian civilian administration for Gaza under the Gaza peace framework.
Head: Ali Shaath, Chief Commissioner of the NCAG.
Update: the NCAG remains headquartered in Cairo, Egypt on a temporary basis. Its assumption of de facto governance inside Gaza itself continues to be delayed, with Israel blocking committee members from entering the territory.
International Oversight:
The transition is overseen by the Board of Peace, with Nickolay Mladenov serving as High Representative for Gaza.
Gaza Executive Board, Board of Peace
Update: friction between Israel and the Board of Peace has sharpened this week. On 2 September, Prime Minister Netanyahu visited Israeli positions inside Gaza and declared “we control the territory here… we are not retreating,” insisting the IDF will not withdraw until Hamas is fully disarmed — a position that puts him at odds with the Board of Peace’s own framework, which envisages phased Israeli withdrawal alongside phased Hamas disarmament.
Hamas:
In July, Hamas announced it will transfer civilian and security governing authority to the NCAG. The transfer remains in progress, with the implementation of Hamas’ disarmament and the full establishment of NCAG authority still unresolved.

Update: on 1 September, Israel captured Muein al-Arabid, head of Hamas’s internal security apparatus — a notable blow to the organisation’s internal policing structure inside Gaza, separate from its political and negotiating leadership above.
Palestinian Authority (PA):
The PA is the internationally recognised Palestinian governing authority, with a stated objective of eventually assuming governance responsibilities in Gaza.

Update: fresh reporting this week (3–4 September) indicates senior Fatah officials increasingly expect Abbas to postpone the vote, reportedly driven by concern over the political rise of Mohammed Dahlan, as well as the practical difficulty of holding elections in Gaza and East Jerusalem.
