Iran will go for a nuclear bomb (if it doesn’t have one already) unless America surrenders everything. No sanctions. Return frozen assets. Allow charges for tankers through the Straits of Hormuz as the reparations generating mechanism. If America surrenders everything, then Iran will allow full inspections and stop further development of nuclear weapons. It may even pause enrichment whilst the stocks it has can be diluted to provide nuclear fuel. But thereafter it will restart enrichment. This is all hard for America to swallow and harder still for Israel. The reality is this latest war has hugely strengthened the governmental machine in Iran, what Iranians call “the system”.
