UN 46th Session NCF Statement Saudi Arabia by Veronica Morris and Hana Efendic

With the advent of the new administration under President Joe Biden in the United States of America, a gesture that the Next Century Foundation would urge wholeheartedly from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the benevolent release of female activists who have been detained in the Kingdom’s prisons of Al-Ha’ir, al-Mabahith, and Dhahban. Most prominently the release of Princess Basmah bint Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, her daughter Suhoud al-Sharif, Loujain Al-Hathloul, Samar Badawi, Nouf Abdulaziz, and Nassima Al-Sadah.
