The  Next Century Foundation needs you

Joining the Next Century Foundation gives you access to all of our online round table Zoom discussions including:

  • Our most private Middle East Security Council meetings on subjects such as Iran
  • Our crisis-specific working group meetings with senior policymakers from Israel and Palestine on the Middle East Peace Process, or from Russia and China on Ukraine
  • Our ongoing working group meetings on chronic regional issues including Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Sudan, Yemen, Libya et al

There are two forms of membership of the NCF:

  • Standard membership. Your membership is valid for the year in which it is paid and the ensuing year. We accept a donation in any amount to cover membership. However for guidance, the advised level of donation for membership is £150 or $180 per year. By joining us you support us. We need our members to enable our work to build peace
  • Platinum membership. Platinum members are those who donate £1,000 or $1,200 or more a year. Platinum members are asked and encouraged to attend NCF team meetings on occasion to help shape policy though they are by no means required to do so. We are funded by public subscription and our Platinum members are important to us. Currently, we have five Platinum Members, Ambassador Alastair King-Smith, Rev Larry Wright, Mr Joseph Morris, Lord Stone of Blackheath and Dr Neil Partrick.
  • Gold membership. Gold members are those who donate £5,000 or $6,000 or more a year. Gold members are asked and encouraged to help shape policy though they are by no means required to do so. We are funded by public subscription and our Gold members are important to us. Currently, we have just one Gold donor, Mr Vivian Wineman.

There are three ways to donate the sum of your choice (guide level £150 / $180 but students or those who live in less prosperous countries of the world may donate substantially less without hesitation) to cover membership of the NCF. We Wage Peace the way others Wage War

The Next Century Foundation believes that meeting on a non-political level can lubricate the wheels of diplomacy. All who participate are determined to act through an unofficial network creating forums for people of opposing sides. The sole aim of the Foundation is to apply a solvent for the fear, insecurity and lack of trust that have so often bedevilled more public exchanges.

Receive all NCF analyses and confidential briefings

As a member, you will be entitled to read all NCF analyses and confidential briefings. NCF posts regular briefings on issues as they arise. Currently, we are working on a special report on Israel-Palestine which looks at the status of the peace process, were negotiations to resume. These are the types of analyses and briefings you can expect to receive as a NCF member, which would be shared as and when it is relevant. You would also receive regular e-mail updates concerning private, and more discreet meetings, which are focused on crisis situations we’re trying to resolve. All members would also have access to the minutes of our working groups through the members portal.

Access reports issued by the Secretary-General

Our Secretary-General William Morris, regularly puts out reports on ongoing confidential work. Currently, he is working on a report concerning the teams that were sent into Baghdad to cover the Iraq elections. These sorts of confidential reports are the type of information which would be uniquely available to you as a member. As a member, you would also have special unlimited access to in progress reports which are being prepared for the UN, such as the Universal Periodic Review on Human Rights, which we are currently preparing submissions for.

Join working group meetings hosted by NCF

The NCF currently hosts three regular working group meetings on Syria, Yemen, and Ukraine. These working groups occur on a three-week rotational basis. Our working group meetings are usually between 1.5-2 hours and are open to all our NCF members. We regularly update our members via e-mail about when these groups take place. The goal of each of our working groups is to promote peace via open and inclusive dialogue. This is done through bringing in and engaging various voices on the respective topics and thus representing all sides in complex conflict issues.
